Uncontested Divorce
Complete uncontested divorce — with or without children — typically 2–4 weeks after filing
About This Service
Full-service uncontested divorce at a flat $750 attorney fee — whether or not you have minor children. Both parties sign, we file, and uncontested cases typically finalize in about 2–4 weeks after filing when both spouses sign promptly, though timing depends on the court and cannot be guaranteed. Florida imposes a 20-day waiting period after filing under F.S. 61.19. Many uncontested cases are completed without either spouse appearing in court. When you have minor children, your uncontested divorce also includes a parenting plan, child support guidelines worksheet, and UCCJEA affidavit at the same flat fee. Court costs and notary are not included, and a payment processing fee applies.

Common Questions
How long will my divorce take?
Most uncontested divorces finalize in about 2–4 weeks after filing once both parties sign, though timing depends on the court and cannot be guaranteed. Florida imposes a 20-day waiting period after filing under F.S. 61.19. When there are minor children, Florida requires both parents to complete a short online parenting course before final judgment; you can take an approved course at flaparent.com, and it can be done while we prepare your documents.
Do I have to go to court?
No. When both parties sign all documents and waive service, no court appearance is required. We handle everything by filing.
What's included when we have children?
At the same flat $750 attorney fee, your case adds a Parenting Plan, Child Support Guidelines Worksheet, and UCCJEA Affidavit. Child support follows Florida guidelines based on income and time-sharing.
Why $750?
It's a flat attorney fee for the entire uncontested matter — no hourly billing, no retainers, no surprises. Most contested divorce attorneys require a $5,000–$7,500 retainer up front. Court filing fees (about $424 total, including the 4% convenience fee; varies by county — verify the current amount with the county clerk), the $50-per-session notary fee, and a payment processing fee are paid separately and are not included in this price.
What if my spouse won't agree?
We focus on uncontested divorces where both parties agree. If your spouse won't cooperate, we can refer you to attorneys who handle contested matters.
